Analysis and solutions of common problems in LPG storage tank stations

with the increasing improvement of people's living standards, the construction of urban infrastructure is becoming more and more perfect, and bottled LPG is used more and more widely, including civil use, restaurants, factories, gas central air conditioning and other gas consumption, so there are more and more LPG storage tank stations. Due to professional reasons, I participated in the design review, construction and operation management inspection of about 50 LPG storage tank stations and gasification stations in Nanhai, Foshan, Shunde, Zhuhai, Shaoguan and other places, analyzed common problems in the design and construction of LPG gas stations in southern China, and put forward solutions

1 no gas-liquid separator is set at the air inlet of the liquefied petroleum gas compressor

according to article 6.3.28 of the code for design of urban gas (cb50028-93) (the following check 4. When the power of the compressor is relatively large or the weather is relatively cold, the liquefied oil and gas in the gas-phase pipelines will enter the compressor with the gas flow, Although some domestic and imported compressors are equipped with a small volume gas-liquid separator at the air inlet, it will also cause the LPG compressor to shut down automatically and forcibly, and even lead to compressor damage accidents, which will seriously affect safety production. However, after the gas-liquid separator of more than 1m3 is set in front of the compressor inlet in some gas stations, the practice has proved that the compressor operates very smoothly, and there is basically no shutdown

2 the inlet and outlet pipelines of liquefied petroleum gas pump shall not be installed with anti vibration rubber pipes

according to article 6.3.21 of the code for design of urban gas, "the inlet and outlet of liquid liquefied petroleum gas pump shall be installed with high-pressure oil resistant armored rubber pipes with a length of about 0.5 meters or other measures to prevent vibration." However, it was found that the oil and gas pumps of most gas stations in the liquefaction plant were not equipped with anti vibration rubber pipes, but the common pipe code was used to fix the pump inlet and outlet pipelines on the pipe rack. Therefore, the pipeline connected to the LPG pump vibrates with the pulse of the pump. Some gas stations produce cavitation due to the long pump inlet pipe or poor installation technology. Even the pressure gauge connected to the pump pipeline is often damaged by vibration, which brings great hidden dangers to safety production and operation. The LPG pump with anti vibration rubber tube installed correctly according to the specifications runs smoothly and there is no pressure gauge. 4. Please make sure that the grounding mark of the mortar tensile testing machine is grounded and frequently damaged. Due to the training and salary, I believe that high-pressure anti vibration rubber pipes should be installed at the inlet and outlet of LPG pumps in strict accordance with the specifications

3 the sprinkler of LPG storage tank adopts the drilling method on the annular fire pipe

according to article 6.9.1 of the code for design of urban gas, "... LPG storage tank shall be equipped with a fixed sprinkler. The water supply intensity of the sprinkler shall not be less than 0.15L/s.m2." I found that many gas stations adopt the method of directly drilling holes in the annular fire pipeline for the fixed sprinkler of LPG storage tanks. Although the visual effect of the sprinkler of the newly completed LPG gas station is basically satisfactory, and the atomization effect can only be barely qualified, when the LPG gas station operates for a period of time, the inclination and diameter of the water holes are changed due to the corrosion of the drilled holes, and the sprinkler intensity The atomization effect cannot meet the requirements of the specification, and will greatly reduce the water pressure of the fire protection system. In addition to the possible blockage of some nozzles, the spray intensity, atomization effect and water pressure of the fire-fighting system can basically meet the requirements and specifications of the fixed sprinkler device with the installation of atomizing nozzles. Moreover, the problem of nozzle blockage can be solved through the process installation and design changes. Therefore, I believe that the fixed sprinkler of LPG storage tank should adhere to the method of sprinkler head, and the method of direct drilling on the annular fire pipe should not be adopted for the convenience of construction and in order to reduce the investment cost

4 fish ponds, ponds, and streams of water are used for fire water.

I found that fish ponds, ponds, and streams of water are used as water sources for fire water in many LPG storage tank stations in southern China, and some of them are already smelly dirty water. Although the relevant specifications have no strict regulations on the quality of fire water, it has seriously affected the fire water from the perspective of practical use effect. Because water sources such as fish ponds, waterways and streams are rich in silt, floating plants and organic matter, although fire water intake pipes are generally filtered by barriers, filter valves and other measures, in fact, once the fire pump pumps water, it has carried out a complete cycle from cellulose to the printed object, and the barriers and filter valves at the water intake will accumulate a large amount of silt and surface floating plants, greatly reducing the amount of water for fire water and seriously affecting fire water. Moreover, because the water contains a lot of dirt and organic matter, when fire drills or cooling spray are carried out, the impurities in the water will aggravate the corrosion of pipes, valves and storage tanks and block the nozzle, which will lead to a significant increase in maintenance costs. Therefore, the fire water for flammable and explosive liquefied petroleum gas storage tanks should be considered in the preparation for construction. Although the one-time investment is increased, the fire reliability and spraying effect of the liquefied petroleum gas storage tank station are improved, and the ability to curb the delay and eliminate the accident in the initial stage of the accident is enhanced
